Joseph Smith’s Bible Translation Condemns David & Solomon, just like the Book of Mormon!

In this episode I reveal what Joseph Smith changed in his Inspired, or New Translation of the Bible, which he primarily worked on from 1830-1832. In that translation, he changed many references dealing with men that practiced polygamy or had more than one wife or concubine. Those verses add tremendous insight to our understanding of David and Solomon. Joseph’s changes make it clear that both David and Solomon were condemned for their practice of taking many wives and concubines, which mirrors the condemnation of them in the Book of Mormon. Joseph also changed verses related to Abraham, to help us understand that part of God’s covenant to Abraham was to give him new commandments that he wasn’t previously keeping. Finally, Joseph also made a significant change to the Bible’s reference to the first polygamist Lamech!
